Macarons came along and took the world by storm, all everybody could think of was eating these babies even if they didn’t actually know what it was. Way before the storm hit South Africa, my sister in law introduced us to these little pieces of heaven while on a holiday in the UK. We were lucky enough to try them from its origins, none other than Laduree.
Well, we were hooked, I came back home and so began the quest to making the perfect mac, many many months went into a year, then 2, and now, I can finally say with relief, joy, pride and total exasperation, that I’ve finally conquered the temperamental macaron *happy dance*
